aventron produced 490 GWh of renewable electricity in the first half of 2019, generating a profit of CHF 8.5 million. Sales and EBIT improved by around 17 and 23 percent respectively compared to the previous year.

In the first half of 2019, aventron generated net revenue from energy deliveries of CHF 54.2 million (previous year 46.5) with EBIT of CHF 19.2 million (previous year 15.6 million). The power plants newly acquired or commissioned in 2018 made a significant contribution to this growth. These included, for example, wind farms in Germany, Spain and Norway. With its power plant facilities in six countries, aventron produced 490 GWh (previous year 410 GWh) of renewable energy. As at the balance sheet date, aventron operates a portfolio of 482 MW in Europe (previous year 422 MW).

In relation to net sales, the EBITDA margin is slightly higher at 71.3 (70.2) percent and the EBIT margin is significantly higher at 35.1 (33.5) percent. The half-year net result was CHF 8.5 million (previous year 6.4 million), an improvement of 34% over the previous year. Half-year earnings per share thus increased to 0.195 Swiss francs per share (previous year 0.187).

Following the satisfactory figures for the half-year, the management confirms its forecast for the full year 2019 with sales of 102 million Swiss francs and an EBIT margin of over 30%. With the construction of the 50 MW solar power plant in Spain and the 6.5 MW solar plant in Switzerland now underway, the 500 MW target has been reached as announced last year. In view of the existing, solid project pipeline, the company expects to reach its target of a renewable energy portfolio of 600 MW by the end of 2020. In doing so, the portfolio will continue to grow in a balanced way between wind, solar and hydro power in the countries Switzerland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Norway.
