aventron AG (ISIN CH0023777235), a leading European producer of green electricity, is presenting its half-year results today. The company generated stable sales of CHF 72.4 million in the first half of 2024 (previous year: CHF 72.8 million). The operating result (EBIT) amounted to CHF 27.9 million in the first half of the year and the corresponding EBIT margin rose by 1.2 percentage points to a high 38.6 per cent.

aventron generated net sales of CHF 72.4 million in the first half of 2024 (H1 2023: CHF 72.8 million), of which 52 per cent in the Wind, 24 per cent in the Solar and 23 per cent in the Water segment. Following a phase of rising energy costs in previous years, the decline in electricity sales prices had the expected negative impact on revenue in the reporting period. However, acquisitions and the commissioning of projects in the wind and water sectors compensated for this price effect. Since the previous year, aventron has added two new wind and hydroelectric power plants and 28 new solar power plants to its portfolio. Electricity production increased year-on-year from 713 million kWh to 772 million kWh.

Eric Wagner, CEO of aventron, explains: "In the first half of 2024, our power plant portfolio produced 772 gigawatt hours of electricity, partly because we were able to further expand our portfolio. We are pleased that the net profit of CHF 14.0 million in the first half of the year exceeded our expectations."

In April 2024, the company distributed a dividend of 32 centimes per share, or CHF 17.3 million in total, to its shareholders. The dividend was thus increased by 7 per cent compared to the previous year. In addition, a capital increase totaling CHF 60 million was successfully carried out. This secures the short and medium-term growth plans.

Company on course to meet its targets
With plants in more than six countries and three different technologies, the company considers itself sufficiently diversified. The growth and investments of recent years are enabling the company to increasingly realise economies of scale. Thanks to the company's momentum, the target of reaching the threshold of 800 MW of installed capacity in the renewable energy sector by the end of 2024 is likely to be exceeded.
